The Holiday Season is Near

You can imagine a parent’s relief to know that during very trying times, they will be able to give their children some of the magic of the holiday season. With your help, parents from our programs will select a few special gifts for each child, plus something for themselves!

Our Wish List:
Here is our 2020 JBWS 2020 Holiday Wish List Thank you for your new and unwrapped gifts. New this year is our Amazon Wish List for those that prefer to shop from home!

We usually receive a sufficient number of toys, crafts and board games for our younger children but are often in short supply of gifts for our preteens and teenagers. Since teens can be challenging to shop for, please consider donating gift cards to department stores or stores where teens shop (e.g., clothing, electronic, music, etc.). These gift cards are much appreciated by parents because it enables them to select appropriate and personal gifts for their children.

We’re here to assist you:
If you plan to donate this year, be sure contact Lynne Acla at lsong@jbws.org or (973) 267-7520 ext. 129. She can help guide you in your selections, assist you in planning for your drop-off/pick-up, and answer all your any questions.

Our timeline:
We will only be accepting holiday donations up to Friday, December 4, 2020. This will ensure that your gifts will be included in our Holiday Boutique, which opens on December 7th for our clients. Please note that we will not be able to receive any gifts after the boutique opens.

Your support is appreciated!
You make the season brighter for families hurting from domestic violence. Last year, we received so many letters from our families expressing their gratitude for their gifts. Here is an excerpt from one of them.

“Thank you so much for your support and help with my family for the holidays. You have made this holiday season perfect for my two boys! By your caring hearts you remind me that the world isn’t full of abuse but compassion and love! “How can I possibly thank you for making this holiday better for my children!”
