Half Marathon for Hope

 WHO: Anyone can participate from anywhere!  And because you can complete the event according to your ability, the Half Marathon for Hope is for everyone from serious runners to competitive athletes to occasional walkers.

WHAT: Simply run, jog, or walk your half marathon all at once or in intervals anytime between October 24th and November 1st and email your results to HMH@jbws.org by the end of the day on November 1st.  Ask your family, friends, or coworkers to support your efforts by donating to JBWS.  We will help you set up a fundraising page to share.

WHERE: Anywhere!  Your course can be at home on your treadmill, outside, at the track, in the gym, or wherever else you run or walk.

WHY: Domestic violence impacts all our communities.  In their lifetime, 1 in 4 women, 1 in 3 teens, and 1 in 7 men will be victims of domestic violence.  JBWS helps all victims of domestic violence by providing safety, support, and solutions for abuse.

WHEN: Now!  Start training for your 13.1-mile half marathon, set up your fundraising page and goal, and get ready for the event.  Run, jog, or walk between October 24th and November 1st to qualify for medals and recognition.  Join us on November 2nd for a Zoom party to recognize our fastest runners by age group and thank our top fundraisers.

HOW: Track your results in any running or fitness app of your choice.  Share your fundraising page via email and social media.
