Children’s Recreation Worker
5 hours per week, Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 pm – 8:30 pm
JBWS is a private, nonprofit agency that provides safety, support and solutions for abuse for anyone who faces the issues of intimate partner abuse regardless of severity of the abuse, marital status, income, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnicity. The vision of JBWS is to create a community-wide culture that refuses to tolerate the presence of any form of intimate partner violence. We are seeking an engaging, committed Child Recreation Worker to provide recreation services in JBWS’ residential children’s programs including the Safe House and Transitional Living facility. Candidate must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire.
- Qualified candidates will have experience working with children
- Ability to model effective parenting skills
- Proven ability to work with children
- Possess knowledge of child development
- Excellent interpersonal skills
