Victims of Abuse don't need your silence. They need your help.

Abuse can happen to anyone, anywhere. If you’re concerned someone you know may be a victim, don’t be afraid to speak up.

There are a lot of reasons why suspected abuse gets ignored. The belief that it’s “a family matter.” Or that it’s “none of your business.” Even the fear that taking action will only make matters worse. But the truth is, when we ignore suspected violence, we encourage abusers to continue their destructive behavior.

Fortunately, in Morris County, there are people and organizations trained in addressing possible abuse situations, and helping victims get back on their feet. If you fear that someone you know may be a victim, or if you have any questions about telltale signs of abuse, please call or visit the appropriate service online to learn how you can help. Being safe is always better than being sorry.
