Educator position (10 hr/wk, Sept - June) to present curricula on dating abuse prevention in schools, colleges and community settings with a special emphasis on reaching coaches and boys through school and club athletic programs in Morris County. Need excellent presentation skills, knowledge and sensitivity to issues of IPV, and proven ability to relate to adolescents and athletes. Experience in high school/college sports a plus. Requires a bachelor’s degree in education, social work, psychology, or related field. Job Code: DAPP

Administrative Assistant - 25 hr./wk. position

Strong secretarial skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office 2010, strong MS Word skills, and 3 - 5 years experience required to support senior staff. Must be flexible and organized.

Per diem positions, including overnights, in battered women's program. Duties include providing support to residential clients, helpline, intake assessment. BSW or related. Include this code in subject line: RESCOUN.

 

Student Internship Opportunities

JBWS utilizes between five and eight interns in several JBWS programs during the school year. In general, JBWS interns are first or second year master's level students in Social Work or Counseling. Most of the internships are for clinical positions and we sometimes have a need for administrative interns. All interns must complete a 40+ hours training program provided by JBWS. Prospective interns should work through their school internships programs.
