PT, Vocational Manager

JBWS seeks a dedicated, empowering and engaging Vocational Manager to join our interdisciplinary team of committed professionals in the domestic violence field. This individual is knowledgeable about community, educational and vocational resources. The Vocational Manager will provide career/educational counseling, research job and scholarship opportunities for clients, and effectively coordinate client services with program staff in order to assist clients in reaching their goals. Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field required. Candidate must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire.  Schedule includes at least one evening. Hourly, Counselor

JBWS seeks an counselor to manage client calls, complete intakes, provide referrals and complete follow up with domestic violence survivors seeking counseling services. The counselor will be dedicated to the mission of helping those hurt by domestic violence. This trauma informed clinician will work a flexible schedule that includes at least one evening per week. MSW or related degree required, license preferred. Candidate must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire. Send cover letter and resume to employment@jbws.org. EOE

Children’s Recreation WorkerJBWS seeks an enthusiastic and responsible individual for children’s recreation services. Duties include the provision of structured indoor/outdoor children’s activities, model effective parenting skills and provide support to children’s volunteers. Candidates should have experience working with children, knowledge of child development, and excellent interpersonal skills. Candidate must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire.  Schedule includes Tuesday & Thursday evening 6:00pm-8:30pm. Send cover letter and resume to employment@jbws.org. EOE

FT, Vice President, Client Services

Seeking a Vice President, Client Services to direct and develop all client services. Successful candidate will be an energetic, client-focused senior-level leader with deep commitment to JBWS’ mission, and dedication to high-quality service delivery. MSW or related degree.  Licensed. FT, Bilingual Case Manager

Seeking a passionate, strengths-based, and engaging part time or full time Bilingual Case Manager to join an interdisciplinary team of committed professionals in the domestic violence field. This individual is knowledgeable about community resources and works with clients to increase self-sufficiency using a collaborative and empowerment approach. Possessing strong interpersonal skills, this case manager will provide career/educational counseling and housing advocacy, research job and scholarship opportunities for clients, and effectively coordinate client services with program staff in order to assist clients in reaching their goals.


Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject matter, such as social work, and experience in housing, vocational, and/or social services case management. Candidate must complete 40 hours of domestic violence training upon hire.  Schedule includes a minimum of 2 evenings per week. Verbal and written fluency in Spanish. EOE

Per diem positions in Safe House

including day, evening and overnight (awake position). Seeking per diem advocate to provide support and advocacy for residential clients. Responsibilities include helpline, crisis intervention, intake, assessment and security cameras. BSW or related degree is required. Include this code in subject line: RESCOUN. EOE

Student Internship Opportunities

JBWS utilizes between five and eight interns in several JBWS programs during the school year. In general, JBWS interns are first or second year master's level students in Social Work or Counseling. Most of the internships are for clinical positions and we sometimes have a need for administrative interns. All interns must complete a 40+ hours training program provided by JBWS. Prospective interns should work through their school internships programs.
